This is a list of venues we personally had the pleasure to work in, and it’s an honest choice, not only because of breathtaking places themselves but also because their people made us feel welcome, cosy, fed and a true part of the place. We do think that most importantly than the place is the human face behind it. Bear in mind that there are many other cool venues besides this list.
Into the North: Porto & Surroundings
Portugal was founded in the 12th century in the northern regions. Porto is the main city in the north and is the entrance and departure spot for a journey across the natural and cultural diversity of the region. It is known for the Port wine but also for his heritage which combines ancient churches and gorgeous monuments.
The northern region is crossed by the Douro River which enters Portugal between the ravines and mountains of the interior to flow through the amazing vineyards area where the famous wines are produced.
PORTO Wedding venues
Mosteiro s. bento da Vitória (Porto).
This amazing monastery is based on the heart of the old Porto, and it’s one of the most important religious buildings in the city.
This singular and distinct venue has a spectacular lounge for your wedding with large vaults and an acoustic shell in refurbished and restored glass, while maintaining its original design. The wooden floor gives it a sophisticated and refined touch.
Hotel Palácio do Freixo (Porto).

Paço dos Duques (Guimarães).
Paço dos Duques de Bragança was originally built between 1420 and 1433. A wide and complex reconstruction intervention was carried out later, between 1937 and 1959.
Over the last few years, the Paço dos Duques has been highly sought after for numerous private, family and public events. Endowed with beautiful and majestic areas, the Paço dos Duques has been the choice for all kind of events, such are their beauty and versatility.

This is an idyllic space, inserted in the Penha forest, dating from the end of the 19th century.
Although preserving all the original striking outdoor environment that surrounds it, this venue is equipped with the necessary infrastructure to respond to any particularity of the event.
Braga Wedding Venues
MOSTEIRO DE AMARES (BRAGA).
Pousada Mosteiro de Amares is a gorgeous and historic monastery based on the outskirts of Gerês Natural Park.
This is on its own a place to consider for your wedding if you mean to show a little bit of Portugal to your guests the following days.
Our favorite reception space in inside the magnificent cloister with the original orange trees under the stars. Another big plus of this venue, is that it holds a magnificent church, completely renovated in the 17th century, if you’d prefer to have a religious ceremony, avoiding traveling between places.
Solar da Levada (Braga).
Solar da Levada is a very charming place, surrounded by natural corners and water sources. It is very versatile as it has several different spaces.
Among them, we highlight the main hall, built within the ruins of the manor. The terrace is cool for summer weddings and the acrylic tent for rainy days. It is surrounded by ponds with fountains, waterfalls and gardens.
Douro Wedding Venues
Quinta da Pacheca (Peso da Régua).
Among the valleys of the Douro River, near the left bank, is Quinta da Pacheca, one of the most prestigious and recognized properties in the Douro Demarcated Region. The history of the vineyard in this property dates back to the XVI century. With its unparalleled singularity Quinta da Pacheca has become one of the most visited estates in the Douro Region and has been consecutively awarded in wine tourism.

Other Northern Wedding Venues
Mosteiro de Landim (V.N.Famalicão).
Although information about its foundation is scarce and contradictory, it is attributed between 1110 and 1128. It has a very rich architectural history. Many vestiges of Romanesque style can still be admired, which give a mysterious and magical air to the place.
It offers three different areas: the cloister with and two halls. One of the halls has a carved 18th century ceiling and it has an interior garden, built in the 19th century, with beautiful and century-old trees. The church of Sta Maria de Landim is perfect for a religious wedding.
The Monastery is surrounded by leafy forests, which provide moments of great tranquility and privacy for your wedding.
This is a very refine and beautiful venue that combines nature with history, and has very quick and easy accesses between Braga and Porto.

PALÁCIO DE MONSERRATE (SINTRA).
This unique and stunning Palace is located in Monserrate Park in Sintra. It’s a National monument with incredible intricate interiors. AREIAS DO SEIXO (TORRES VEDRAS).
For sure this venue is our the top 3! Known for its high environmental sustainability, Areias do Seixo presents a new concept of luxury: comfortable, informal, irreverent, familiar.
Built in harmony with nature, this is a beautiful 15 rooms hotel with a magnificent sea view, a log fireplace and a heated swimming pool. It has a venerable respect for the surrounding environment whether for the construction materials or for decorative notes. Concrete, copper, glass and, of course, pebbles mixed with a lot of good taste: that’s what who will see once you step in.
Some weddings feel like a dream—effortless, emotional, and filled with pure energy. This one was exactly that.
Set against the stunning backdrop of Areias do Seixo, the day unfolded in the most organic and heartfelt way. The couple, effortlessly cool and deeply in love, embraced every moment with authenticity, making their wedding not just an event, but a true celebration of who they are.
The atmosphere was beautifully raw, where emotions ran free, laughter echoed through the air, and every detail felt intentional yet unforced. QUINTA DE SANT’ANA (MAFRA).
The Quinta’s history goes back to 1633, having many owners through generations. It consists of a beautiful farmhouse, covered in ivy and several little and cosy houses where you can be hosted. It has a Baroque chapel with its own bell tower, as well as some stunning gardens with palm trees with views onto the vineyard below, where ceremonies are held most of the times.
We love the yellow tone color of Quinta de Sant’Ana and also the white doves that come to say hello each time we’re there. The dinning lounge features an attractive wooden ceiling and original waxed pine flooring, arched windows overlooking the vineyards and plenty of natural light provide a versatile setting for your wedding.
Last but not the least, the amazing three descending level patio is versatile. Half outdoors, half covered, the floors are made of traditional Portuguese pavement and the outdoor area is decorated with aromatic herbs planted in wine barrels. At night, strings of party lights add a nostalgic and festive feel to the place, turning your wedding cake cutting a perfect moment.
Quinta da Conceição (Azeitão).
Set within a secluded 40-hectare estate near Azeitão, Quinta da Conceição is a beautifully restored 1715 Baroque manor that combines historic charm with modern luxury. The property features grand living spaces, lush gardens, and a magnificent swimming pool, offering a tranquil retreat just 30 minutes south of Lisbon. Ideal for weddings and retreats, it provides exclusive use of the entire estate, accommodating up to 33 guests in an environment rich with heritage and natural beauty.
Some weddings are not just a day—they’re an experience. This three-day wedding weekend was exactly that: a perfect blend of emotion, celebration, and heartfelt moments, all set in beautiful Portugal.
The festivities began at Quinta da Conceição, where the couple welcomed their guests with a laid-back barbecue gathering. Laughter and love filled the air as three heartfelt speeches set the tone for the incredible days ahead.
The wedding day itself was pure magic. A deeply emotional ceremony filled with vows and touching speeches made every moment feel intimate and unforgettable. The bride, radiating timeless beauty in her vintage-inspired gown and lace gloves, was elegance personified. Later in the night, after the cutting of the cake, the groom surprised everyone by playing the piano and singing a song for his bride—a moment that left not a single dry eye in the room.
To close this incredible weekend, friends and family gathered at O ZECA, by the beach, for a relaxed farewell—a perfect ending to a wedding that was not just about celebration, but about cherishing love, connection, and the unforgettable memories created in this special place.
La Distillerie (Lisbon).
La Distillerie in Lisbon is the perfect wedding venue for couples looking for elegance, charm, and a unique atmosphere. Nestled in the heart of the city, it combines modern design with historic character, creating stunning backdrops for both wedding photography and videography. Every corner of La Distillerie offers photogenic settings that capture the magic and emotion of your special day. Choosing this venue ensures an unforgettable experience, where your wedding moments are beautifully framed, making it ideal for couples who want timeless photos and cinematic videos.
Solar de Pancas (Alenquer).
Solar de Pancas is a historic building, whose initial construction dates back to the end of the 15th century. It used to be a manor house and was converted into a wedding venue in recent years. Located in the wine region of Alenquer, this venue is quite unique and can be easily identified because of the ivy covered building. It has several rooms, a chapel and beautiful gardens and patios.
Forte da cruz (Cascais).
17th century fort located on Tamariz beach, with a privileged view of the Cascais coast and the sunset. Originally part of the coastal defense line, now only used for events. Its great historical component combined with its location on the sea, makes this space a magical place that transforms any event into a moment that will forever be in the memory of the guests..
Into the south: Alentejo & Algarve
For many many years, Algarve was the election destination spot for thousands of Portuguese and tourists looking for beautiful beaches, hot sun and unquestionable delicious cuisine, namely fresh fish and seafood.
Over the past few years, a new competitor emerged. Alentejo began to conquer the hearts of visitors. Its vast and bucolic plains, its relaxed atmosphere and magnificent beaches, began to enchant those seeking for relax from their daily routines.
Alentejo Wedding Venues
L’AND VINEYARDS (MONTEMOR-O-NOVO).
Located in the heart of Alentejo , L'AND Vineyards is an exclusive retreat, with 30 suites and villas that combine modern architecture with nature, providing an environment of sober luxury, natural beauty and tranquility.

TORRE DE PALMA WINE HOTEL (MONFORTE).
Originally dating back to 1338, Torre de Palma Wine Hotel was born in 2014 inspired by the way of life of the distinguished Basilii family (former inhabitants of the nearby Roman ruins of Torre de Palma) and the Alentejo traditions.
The fusion between modern and rustic sets the tone of the décor. There are places of breathtaking beauty, such as the Torre de Palma, which efficiently combines beauty and structure.
SUBLIME COMPORTA (GRÂNDOLA).
Sublime Comporta is a magical and unspoiled resort, located on a stunning 17 acres estate, surrounded by umbrella pines, cork trees and wild sand dunes.

Granvila Mansion (Quarteira).

Os Agostos (Lagos).
Os Agostos is a relaxed and traditional country house near Faro, and as a local accommodation, it can host a limited number of guests. Nonetheless, it is an extensive property with lots of different areas you can explore.
It has an olive press house, a barn and an orange groove. Allying to the courtyards where you can do a beautiful outdoor dinner and party, is is up to you to make your preference with all the options they offer.
Pine Cliffs (Albufeira).
Pine Cliffs is a very luxurious Resort right in the center of the Algarve.
It maintains the traditional Arab architecture, where Portuguese history is narrated through murals and hand-painted tiles, extending to the modern rooms.
