Planning a wedding often comes with many questions, and we’re here to make the process as smooth as possible. In this section, you’ll find answers to the most common questions couples ask us about our wedding photography and videography — from how we work on the day, to travel details, delivery times, and everything in between.

Who are you?

We are Zé, Luísa and João and we are the boys and girl behind the cameras. You can know more about us in this link.

Where are you based?

We are based in Porto, Portugal but available worldwide.

How did you get into weddings?

We did a backpack travel to Southeast Asia in August 2011. Our lives were at a turning point and we had no idea of it. Back then, we all had different 9am-17pm jobs, nothing related with photography or video.

As soon as we come back from Asia, I edited the footage I grabbed, no iPhones nor fancy stuff back than, just a Sony mini DV camera.

A few months later a wedding photographer (friend of Luisa’s sister) came across that edit. He did invite us to shoot a wedding video, and just like that, we took a Canon 1100d to a wedding. We had absolutely no idea how to shoot and edit a wedding film. At the end, we just did what it felt right.

Several months later we were quiting our jobs and now, over all these years later here we are! We really couldn't see it coming, we now have 2 amazing boys which are our obsession and lucky enough we get to spend soooo much time with them! We travel the world doing what we love and we met so many good people along the way. We feel so humbled everyday.

Services

What services do you offer?

Our main services are wedding photography and wedding films, but we offer a variety of corporate work as well. We may use analog 35mm film and Super 8, as well as aero footage. Let us know your expectations and we go from there.

Do you offer photography and videography as separate options or always combined?

We’re happy to tailor your package however you like—many couples love having both for the full experience!

How do you define the style of your work?

We define our work by not following a specific style.

Our approach is centered around creating a comfortable and unobtrusive atmosphere, allowing us to capture authentic moments without interrupting the natural flow of your celebration. If we had to choose some adjectives to define our work, would be unstaged, real, raw, genuine, fun, emotional, bespoke and unique. We want our work to be an exclusive experience, with striking visuals and unique soul.

We only had one thing in mind: try to capture the raw emotions, the genuine connections, and the fleeting moments that make each occasion special. We always create from the heart and try to allow the client to relive the event and feel the emotions as if they were right there again. Unstaged, raw, emotional, unique as it was and as its imagery should be.

Do you cover weddings of all religions and couples of all sexual orientations?

Yes, absolutely. We are proud to capture weddings that celebrate love in all its forms. We welcome couples from every religious background and all sexual orientations, and we approach each event with the same respect, dedication, and artistry.

Where did you worked so far, besides Portugal?

Travel and shooting are two of our favorite things, so being able to travel and shoot at the same time is the cherry on top for us.

We do love to capture destination weddings, and so far we were lucky enough to cover weddings and elopements all over the world, Portugal, Spain, Italy, France, Greece, Dubai, NYC, India, Mexico, Morrocco and Japan.

And we’re ready for some more adventures ahead!

The W - Day

How many Photographers/videographers will be at my wedding?

Usually, the wedding coverage will be made by 2 camera operators for each service.

However, depending on several aspects, we can be from 1 to 3.

What is your coverage period?

The approximate maximum coverage period will be 10 hours for a wedding day, including travel between the various locations and meal interval. After this time, each additional hour has an extra cost listed in the budget originally sent.

An extra day coverage is up to 3 hours.

What is your dress code ?

We dress simple, comfortable and casual, however if you have any requests regarding dress code, please let us know.

Do you start at ceremony or at the getting ready?

We can start our coverage in the getting ready period or at the ceremony, it's up to you. Your day, your decision.

Apart from the couple session we rarely intervene on the day's dynamics. Most of our footage is intended to be as natural and organic as possible.

What should we expect from you during the wedding day?

Our only request for you is a 15 min couple session that can happen anytime during the day.

Is there any TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION fee?

In Portugal, travel costs up to 100 km from/to Porto are included. For longer distances, we may need to add the cost of one/two nights stay for 1 or 2 people.

For other countries, travel and accommodation costs will be calculated individually.

Final Work

When should I expect the work to be delivered?

The maximum delivery time your work up to 9 months after the event. It can be sooner of course, but it always depends on when in the calendar is your wedding and how many events we have before yours.

Photography work usually takes a couple of months to be ready.

Nevertheless, it is possible to reduce this time paying an urgency fee.

What is THE AVERAGE LENGH OF THE FILMS?

We have two different and complementary video approaches: A short conceptual version (around 2-3 min) and a longer documental one (around 10 min).

However, these times are merely indicative. It is our discretion to reduce or extend its duration depending on several factors and editing criteria.

How many photos should we expect?

You can expect around 1000-1500 edited photos, delivered in digital format. An online gallery will be created for you to share easialy with your family and friends.

Sharing, learning and building relationships. That’s really what thrives us whenever we speak at any workshop/conference.

More than just teach, we love to tell why we do things the way we do, and try to put in words our feelings. We’re honestly like an open book and we are available to all of your questions and concerns. But where we do get and give the most, is in the small talks, the coffee breaks and beers after, where we do chat with you and we all get to share our essence as artists.
